I totally agree that the last five minutes of this show were excellently acted and directed. However, I was profoundly touched by the two children whose parents died. THat whole sections was well-acted as well. The little boy's crying nearly broke my heart. Laura Innes and the cast did a terrific job on this entire show, from start to finish, and deserve to be credited for making us cry and shocking us in the same episode.

I agree 100%. The first 55 min. were not crap, or totally lame, as a lot of people say. I think it just pales in comparison to the last scene!

I absolutely agree. I just bawled. I had to run to the nursery and check on my own son and give him a kiss after that scene. Those two kids were great actors and deserve a lot more credit than saying that their scenes were "crap." I am normally annoyed by child actors, but these two were terrific.

I agree that the first 55 minutes were not a waste of time. But I have to admit that the whole time I was wondering what the "one shocking moment would be" and by 10:45 I felt like I'd been had. The rest did pale in comparison, but to me it's just because the last scene got to the core of me and for a minute it wasn't a tv show.

Amoeba! You read my mind! I have been so tired of the ER commercials telling you every week that something is going to happen, only to feel like you watched the wrong show after it's over. So when they started on this "big moment" hype, I was so skeptcial. Every time something minor happened, I jokingly thought, well that was it! And then when it was ten minutes to go, I thought, well, screwed again, there IS no big moment! But then, the party started, the music played, and as Carter said, heads rolled! Well, almost.
