Thanks for your Support and Forum Alerts Update

Hi all,

Ive been away from the board for about a day or so (other things to tend to, plus feeling a bit under the weather), but I just wanted to remind you that if you are receiving this message, it means youll now be notified regarding new postings to the TP Chronicles forum. I seriously doubt this will become a mailbox-clogging type of notification, but if you ever want to disable your alert status, you can easily do so by accessing the link at the bottom of the main page of forum. Just click on the thread that reads click here to add an alert, and youll be able to access the edit feature that will allow your alert to be disabled.

Many of you wrote me to express support regarding my recent disagreeable experience over at Biffy, and I just want you to know how very much that support is appreciated, as is the public support some of you have expressed for the completion of this book.

You know, as each day passes, Im constantly reminded of the many statements that were made--along the road to Y2k-- by government officials, etc., and I continue to believe in the importance of having an easily accessible record of that, which this book WILL provide. Why? Well, I remember, for example, the day Ed Yardeni (pre-rollover) stated something along the lines of Sometimes you just look in the mirror and think youre delusional about this whole thing. Well--people who were worried about the impact of Y2k were NOT delusional. They were given reasons--by credible people in positions of power--to be concerned, and no amount of mud-slinging by the I told you so crowd, will ever change what people were told.

Anyway (Granny Rant Mode Off now) thanks again! Chapter Four should be online soon!

:)

Marianne

I can only echo the feelings of Y2k burnout. Two years of following the daily happenings....and a year of making my preparations. Now I am faced with how much to keep and rotate....and how much to donate to the food banks.

I wish Marianne well with her book and I hope a complete reading when it is finished will help me better understand just how I got so "caught up" in the subject.

I need to get outside the forest so I can see the trees.

Might as well give the toilet paper to the food banks branch of the family. Uncle Food has a large family.

...and you thought LL was complex!

I find this to be a very kind and gentle forum.
