Anyone interested in O' practice on Sunday (2/13)?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

I plan to do some sort of O' practice on Sunday. My tentative plan is to run "noonish" at Blue and Gray Park. If you'd be interested in joining me -- let me know (meglin@juno.com or talk to me at the PTOC meet on Saturday).

Would this be with or without a thorn-proof suit of shining armor? And if it is with shining armor, how do you plan to explain this away when the police show up to investigate in response to complaints this time?

Hey, swampfox.

While I read the article first here, and should have said something sooner so that it could be corrected before publication, I do believe that I was the 'unidentified orienteer' that punched with you at #6 on the PTIII. I sure recognized you.

And no, Mike, I won't be at Blue and Grey. Too far east. Have valentine's date tonight.

At nearly the last minute, the plans changed. Instead of running "noonish" at Blue and Gray, we went to Leavenworth at 9-ish. Mary, Dan, Gene and I ran around on the old map. The map is still decent -- there are some new trails and the point features are still tiny.

Mary wandered around on her own, while the rest of us did some route choice tests. We picked a feature and then all three of us took different routes. After a few route choices, we ran a short course (sticking together most of the time).

After the run, I started thinking that we might revise the map and use it for next year's Kansas Champs.
