Absolutely Amazing! (02/10/00)

Now obviously I've encountered a group as fanatical as I am about ER, and I know that we've all experienced some disappointment in the past year...too many new people, Doug leaving, out-of-character moments, and just not enough of that "This is the best show on television!" feeling...well, that feeling has returned with a vengeance!!!! and it was amazing!!! Last night's episode was crazy!!! from beginning to end, the tension was palpable and the payoff was huge...cannot wait until next Thursday :)

I was blown away. I have never seen an expression like that before. Kellie should definitely get an emmy for that. I was so amazed-felt the same way pretty much everyone else feels-knew KM would die somehow, but not any clue about Carter, when he weakly tries to call for help, it's like in the nightmare where you try to call out and only faint whimpers come out. OOOOHHH!!!! I was so shaken by that. And the little kids. I have two little kids, and it tore my heart out! I was pregnant when Love's Labor Lost was on, it sent me into a tailspin, and now this. Did you see the preview when Weaver finds them? I can't wait!!!!!

That's the most poignant (sp?) ER I've ever seen; and the most poignant tv show I've ever seen at that. I didn't think it was too much at all. I thought it was perfect. It left a lasting impression in my mind; it's been there all day and I know it will stick there all through next week until the 2/17 show, and probably a little bit afterwards. I was totally stunned like the rest of you, and am still going through a bit of shock at the moment. I'm glad that I'd heard about it on the radio yesterday afternoon, but I'm also a little bummed that I'd heard about it early. I would have liked to have been caught completely off guard; but if I had I would have definitely taken last night's episode a lot harder than I'm taking it now - and that's pretty hard. I just wish that Lucy and Carter had been able to hook up - they would have made the cutest couple!! I also wish that she hadn't had to fall victim to such a terrible tragedy after having a bad day. I'm really glad that Carter was there with her though, it sort of made up for their shortness to one another. I'll miss her so much!!! Despite what happened, and the fact that I'm bummed Lucy is going, I still think that ER is the best show ever!!, and that NBC rocks for having it on!!! It's definitely my favorite show!!

Long-time ER fan here...this last episode REALLY did me in! After the kids' parents died, I waited for the other shoe to drop because Lucy hadn't been seen for at least 10-15 minutes!

Carter being stabbed, then seeing Lucy from across the room and KM's expression as Lucy was lying on the ground was truly a haunting "ER moment"....

"Hell or High Water"..."Love's Labor Lost"..."It Ain't Easy Being Greene"...the birth of Carol's twins.... I'm definitely adding "Be Still My Heart" to the list...
