greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

The smoke has cleared from Y2K, its a new Millenium, so its onward and upward--- right?

Explosion on Wall Street this morning! Hmmmmm! Symbolic? Maybe

Gold exploding--- no mention in the media!

Bonds---???

Oil at almost $30.00 a bbl. and the Wash Post last week says "no big deal" things have changed because Oils not that important as an economic barometer? Huh?

Dow seems to be correcting but the Nasdaq IPOs make it seem like a rocket ship.

Retail rates this morning half of what analyts expected. Can the dot com world and all its empty glitz really change the economic cycles that have existed for thousands of years?

We shall see!!

Indeed! All economic cycles have been repealed. In addition, all previous cycles have been 'modified' to reflect the brave new economic thinking styles. We wouldn't want to the American public to worry or have concern over "little problems". They may even be warming up the old mid 1929 ditties about staying in the market.

Oh yes, and I really DID just see a herd of pigs fly over the house.
