Uncle, the term "Sheeple" is most derogatory phrase you put upon another human. God called us his sheep, you seek to place people on a rung lesser than yours, by name calling.

wideawake...

I think that you misunderstand...I didn't ask the question of the day, sheeple did. I am not name-calling (as you so eloquently put it), just giving credit to the individual who posted the question. For example, if you were to post a thought provoking, controversial question such as "Name calling ruins peoples lives," I would post the question as you presented it and give your forum name, wideawake@fighting.com, credit. Look down the threads on TB2000 and you will see where sheeple posted the question.

I hope this clears it up for you and perhaps makes you widerawake ;- )...

Thanks for the input...UB

No Sheeple,

Well, the reason that I finally stuck with the name Sheeple is long and boring. But I did, and many here know me by this name. The jest of why I picked it has nothing to do with God, but with all of the comments over the past couple of years about the sheeple and when the "herd would move". Hey, I buck the system, and belong to a different flock than the main "herd". It was more to prove that there are more than one kind of sheeple.

Uncle Bob I am beginning to think the only reason you are here is to promote your site. Tell me if I'm wrong but it seems everytime you post something and I click on it I am immediatly sent to your site. Granted it is a very nice site but I for one would prefer to get there by my own choice. Thanks for any light you can shed on this subject.

Sheeple...

.....You said,"Hey, I buck the system, and belong to a different flock than the main "herd"."

.....Does this ultimately make you the "black" sheeple? :o)

As a believer upon Jesus Christ, I personally like the term "sheeple". Jesus called his followers sheep and please note that sheep are some of the dumbest creatures on earth - as are most of the people on this earth. Sheep need a leader - they cannot make it on their own in a world full of wolves. The only smart ones are those who have received truth from Jesus Christ - and they are only smart because they are following the right leader, and even that has been given to them by the grace of God.

So, sheeple is a fitting word describing the typical human condition - a bunch of "people" who WILL follow something - either their flesh or the spirit - like "sheep".

Dande....

Thanks for your input. Unfortunately the site is an interactive one. Having been a contributor, poster, etc., with TB2000 for 2 years (yes, check the archives), and now that Y2K has come and gone, I am trying to add a little different twist to the forum. The whole point in posting the question of the day on the website is to get people outside of the forum (new blood) to interact and bring something to the table. I apologize if you find this offensive. I suggest that you do not read any of my posts or click on my website. Means no difference to me one way or the other. Just trying to help here.

Regards...UB
