Does anybody understand this? Feel free to spew as much hatred as you want. I am right here behind you.

I can not understand his popularity. He looks like a little kid, as you've said. Also, Titanic sucked. It was no romantic, or important, as far as *I* w concerned it was about some spoiled rich kid who screwed a street kid and went slumming for kicks. Watching Titanic robbed me of three hours I'll never get back. That, and I failed to find anyone in the movie attractive.

Actually, if you skip the first 1/3 of the movie, it's not that bad. You get to miss all of the romance crap and get to the cool part, which is the ship sinking. I thought that the ship sinking part was pretty cool, really.

Yay! Leo bashing! I flatly refuse to see Titanic. I would much rather se Kate Winslet in, say, Heavenly Creatures, which is a brilliant film.

One of the most laughable things I've witnessed in Leo-mania is when he was supposedly knocked around (yay!), and they had him on the cover of a magazine (again).. the headline was "Who would hurt this face?". That's disgusting.

I think Kate Winslet is a lovely person. It grossed me out to see her making out with Leo in Titanic. I'm serious, it made me queasy. I had to put down my popcorn.

He's just so... gross! Gross! Nasty! The only way I will go to see "The Beach" is if someone pays me a lot of money to go see it. I don't even like watching the previews. Bleah.

I totally agree with you, Jan. I was raving over Kate's performances years ago when the world was like "Kate who?".

The Beach has been getting pretty bad/mixed reviews, which as you can see makes me very happy :). When I went to the cinema a few weeks ago, the trailer for it appeared, and I was "treated" to an extreme close up of Leonerdo's face. How high are cinema screens? 1000000 feet? It was horrible.. simply horrible..

That sounds totally horrifying. I think I would have lost my popcorn.

I do like Kate Winslet a lot, but I'm still not sure if going to see "Holy Smoke" is a good idea. Still, it's better than going to see "The Beach". Keith refuses to see "Scream 3" on the grounds that he didn't see the other two because he doesn't like the genre, and he isn't about to start now. So I guess this weekend maybe we'll be watching "Toy Story 2", which we STILL haven't seen. We both thought the first one was hilarious.

Wow, was that enough of a tangent?

This is a little off topic. I don't know if I can speak for Scream 3, on the basis that I haven't seen it yet, but I loved the first 2. If Keith hates scary movies he might find the first one interesting atleast, because it highlights all the things that make horror movies so stupid. It pokes fun at them, but no so much that it's like a Leslie Nielson movie.

I've seen Toy Story 2.. and if you liked the first one, you'll love the second one, it's even better. And, at the beginning, Pixar treats you to a short explanation of who they are and why they've chosen that lamp as an icon. It's wonderful. And the beach!?!?! Blah, I'd rather go see TIGGER!!!!
