Others on this site have mentioned some of the problems, some I can remember or have experienced are:Difficulties with in/out points and that has a solution which is related to the encoder/GOP properties it seems. I could not get them to work when I wanted to play two sections as highlights from within the one larger file by menu selection. I simply got around it by encoding those sections and making them different tracks.
I have used a series of stills as a menu item and have not been able to get the times consistant in a set top dvd and on a computer. If I set for the DVD player it was about 10 times as long on a PC; because of this I simply used a mpeg stream so that at least the time is then consistant on both and the quality was the same.
There are other things which I cannot remember but I simply adopt an attitude that if its a problem then get around it even if you drop it altogether, afterall maybe we all did not pay top dollar for the software anyway!
Its a bit unfriendly to use and changes within a project must be treated as a new project, try using a standard set for 3 levels and removing some unwanted items! However, once you experiment enough .......
There is a thread here somewhere listing Problems with VideoPack 4.
