It doesn't surprise me... I'm sure she didn't like it at this occation, but I'm sure she dances to this music when she not in public! Thanks Powder, SBRG3

I would be shocked and disgusted if this was any other politician...but I'm afraid that it's about what I expected...

Any of you ever listened to that song? It's very anti-drug and is essentially a critical portrait of the wasted life of a rich, young druggie. Not exactly an advocacy song, IMHO.

That said, it's also not an appropriate song to play full-blast at a campaign rally. That was the real gaffe: no one realized that the "Greatest Hits" tape included that song (and those, ummm, rough lyrics) until it was too late.

The Clinton campaigns have had well-documented problems in planning and logistics and have relied on Mr. Clinton's giftedness in communications to make up for the stumbles. We will just have to wait and see how well Mrs. Clinton (certainly far better organized than her husband) manages.

Please note: am not a supporter of either of the Clintons and wouldn't vote for her for dogcatcher.

Yes, I was watching Hillary's rally when the song was playing. Too funny. I guess Carvile should add the Clintons to his list of 'trailer park trash'.

Guess its OK for Billy Joel to sing these lyrics but unacceptable when someone like John Rocker speaks his mind. Selective political correctness at its best.

Sifting,

Rocker was suspended for his remarks. Just where does that leave your 'political correctness' now, Sifting?

TruthSeeker,

I'm missing your point, please clarify.

-- Sifting (through@the.rubble), February 07, 2000.

Must have been a plant fron the VRWC that selected the song.

Sifting -

can you provide URL? or cut and paste Rocker's comments? so I can better understand what is being referred to above. Thanx.

Best,

Sexist prudes!

You hate a women with brains, power, and good looks.

It's a Billy Joel song for God's Sake.

Wake up. Regardless of what the computers did or did not do, it is 2000.

Let's just see if they play it over and over and over again like they did when Bauer fell off the pancake platform.
