A follow-up Opisalert:

2000-02-07 12:15:13 EST ***WEST COAST SPOT PRICES SLIGHTLY STRONGER ON TOSCO REFINERY FIRE California spot markets are slightly stronger on a hydrocracker fire at Tosco's 77,053 b/d Rodeo refinery in the San Francisco Bay area. The fire occurred while Tosco was bringing the unit down for planned turnaround over the weekend, sources said. Tosco started bringing the unit down on Thursday, reports indicate. The market was marginally stronger this morning on the news, though some traders expect minimal impact since the turnaround was planned and downtime was already factored into the market, they say. At presstime, Bay gasoline was bid at 80.5cts. CARB diesel was bid at 85cts, with jet fuel bid at 85cts. In L.A., Feb. gasoline was offered at 84.5cts, with March offered at 86cts. Jet fuel in L.A. was done at 85cts on Friday. - Mary Welge
