VideoPack help needed: multiple mpeg files and index points

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I am creating a VCD with a few 20 minute MPEG files in it. I want to put different index entry points in each. After I put the entry points in all 3 of my MPEG files, I go to burn the VCD but VideoPack tells me I have an error with the entry points

What is the problem???

I was told that VideoPack can only handle index points for one mpeg file per VCD. Is there any way to have VideoPack successfully burn a VCD that has more than one MPEG file and index points for each?

Thank you

For your type of purpose, I would use EZ CD Creator Deluxe. It's a lot easier. Don't bother to use VP unless you are going to add control buttons in your vcd.

I have created a vcd with 32 short mpeg clips. You can select any of them from a menu. If you already have all the necessary clips with you, including the clip for the menu, you can easily create a vcd layout in about 15 mins time or less and burn it immediately after that.

Comparatively, VP is less productive when it comes to performing such task.

That's a gaping bug in videopack. Once you are done creating the entry points, you have to go back through your mpeg clips and delete all the entry points that do not apply to that clip, then burn the disc. Be esp. carefull about entrypoints set past the end of a clip, because those will kill it every time.

You have to do all this, then burn the disc in one sitting. If you close and reopen the project file all the entry points get merged together again.
