Hi,

I just got an Asian VCD that is pretty interesting. It has a menu screen and clickable buttons. When you click on the Buttons, they highlight and make a sound. Also, the chinese words (characters) light one after the other like a cristmas tree light (there are three of them and one lights up, then it switches to the other, then the other and then back to the first one).

Does anyone know how this is done? I assure you this is a VCD 2.0 disc.

I have not seen a VideoCD like that, but with VideoPack you can create a series of stills that can be displayed one after the other after pushing a button or selecting a number in the menu.

Just create a series of stills ( or several copies of the menus if you like to call them like that ) changing just a little bit on each one ( changing the color on each letter one by one for example ).

Maybe doing that you can achieve the desire effect. Interesting one to try.
