"I managed to sneak a photo while he was receiving instructions from his overlords. In time, they would grow wiser and wirelessly beam the instructions, replacing the rather obvious chrome tube."

The Washington, D.C. Metro, one of my favorite places to shoot. I usually use a 20mm lens and shoot from the waist, framing by instinct. Delta 3200 rated at EI 1600 developed in 1:1 XTOL.

This, and real 'critiques', are exactly what I'm hoping the Images section turns into. See here. I just think it is boring to put an image up with nothing to stimulate conversation; it is a "forum" afterall, not a "gallery".

By the way I love this photo. Nice work man. shawn

I hope I was clear with that. I just meant don't put posts up without SAYING SOMETHING, either technical and/or hopefully something ABOUT the photo. What do YOU like or dislike about it? Why is it important to you?

To tell you the truth, if my main aim is to look at photos on the net for their own sake (without communicating something), a forum is the last place I go (wouldn't you like to know where I DO go...!). Even if an image is totally amazing and says all it has too by itself, say something to give the post some "direction", if you know what I mean. I don't think that's a lot to ask; and it only has to take a few seconds. We're here to communicate, which, as much as I hate to admit it, a photograph by itself on the net is not going to do most of the time. Post all the images you want, but bring it home.

Gosh that sounded like moderation. yucki.
