Downloading Images

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Ihave an Olympus 2500L Camedia. I am using Smart Media card. I purchased a Mausb-1 SM Reader/Writer to make downloading faster. The installation went well, the green lights are on, If the card is in the reader I can pick up the images in Adobe. I cannot either pick them up or download them into the Camedia program.I hope this is enough info. Thank you.

Drag the 100OLYMP folder to the desktop. If you have Graphic Converter, under file, click on browse folder. View the entire folder as thumbnails. If you like anything, open Photoshop or any other image editing program you may have, select that file- the one you love_ and go to work. You don't need Camedia, it's junk anyway. This is all on a Mac. I don't know much about PC's, but I'm sure they are pretty much the same.

Bob: I presume you downloaded the pictures in jpg format to a folder on your hard drive. Just open Camedia and the upper left quadrant will be a view of all your files in a directory tree. Move to the folder where your files are and click on it. At that point all your downloaded jpg's should open up on the right side of the viewer. Hope this works, Jim
