...and how much for Boston?

btw, Dan, my sister still lives there and I'm sure will be happy to supply Nachos before the event!

$224.50 which I feel is pretty good for Boston. My flights are Delta 1086 leaving at 3:00pm. Switch planes in Atlanta and arrive Boston at 9:04pm Friday the 14th. Return out of Boston flight 827 leaving at 6:15pm and arriving in KC at 11:31pm. Switch planes in Atlanta.

When is Cincinnati?

-- Fritz Menninger (fpmenninger@hotmail.com), February 05, 2000.

Cincinnati is March 31 - April 2. It is a three day meet and includes the US Short Course Champs. I am thinking about going. Actually, I am pretty certain I will go, but I have not gotten as far as making reservations.

Fritz, if you are interested in coordinating travel plans let me know.

Oh no, Tickets to Cincinnati are up to $169 as of today.

Tickets to Boston are now up to $270.

I'm still thinking that I might make it to the NEOC meet. Who is going and has anyone made reservations for a car and hotel to share?

With Mook being sent down to the B team, how should we handle the first leg? Peggy or Gene? I think Peggy should lead off and Gene do the second leg, followed by me and then Spike.

Snorkel wrote..."to the B team."

Orienteer Kansas has no B team. What he must mean is the 8-point team. Of course we must forgive Snorkel for this slight indiscretion (he did, afterall, begin his O' career as a SLOC member).

Of course with the Mook injury, there is no 8 point team. What do we call it?

-- Snorkel (daniel.meenehan@umb.com), February 10, 2000.

Mary and I are on Midwest Express (I think it is non-stop from KC to Boston). We're going from KC on 4/14 at 6:50 a.m., arrival at 10:40. The return flight leaves Boston on 4/15 at 7:35 p.m. and arrives in KC at 10:05.

The tickets were sub-$270 (the price actually went down a bit from yesterday).

Midwest Express is a very nice airline -- they only have first class!

-- Michael (mike_eglinski@kcmo.org), February 10, 2000.

1st class!!!!!!!! I hope this doesn't cause team dissention between the influential have's and the rest of us have not's.

-- Snorkel (daniel.meenehan@umb.com), February 10, 2000.

Ticket Prices are back down. $229 for Midwest Express and $217 for Delta. To Boston on the applicable dates.

How is the planning for hotels and rental cars coming along Mook? By now I would have assumed you would have some kind of interactive database set up with arrival times, hotel amenities, and schedule for the weekend set up? Are you really commited to the OK relay team or is it just about number of posts?

-- Snorkel (daniel.meenehan@umb.com), February 23, 2000.

For all intents and purposes it would now appear that Mook is Massachusetts bound to represent OK at the relay chumps. Mook is no doubt feeling quite smug today after having suckered a Delta Airlines service representative out of $171.50, having been quite sneaky about not quoting an earlier fare price and buying the ticket late.

What does all this portend for OK? Well, that all depends on who you talk to. Some say, no doubt with Mook's much-ballyhooed weight gain in mind, that OK is better off Mookless. Others contend that no relay team can be considered complete without their token Mook, but if that were really the case there wouldn't be many relay teams out there in the world, Mook having run on only 5 or 6 relays before in his entire life.

Purportedly Mook will arrive in Boston at 5:57pm on the 14th and leave Boston at 5:35pm on the 16th.
