CEDAR GROVE, Florida (AP) -- A man has been charged with stealing four portable toilets after his managers thought his alibi stank.

Managers at Hall Septic Tank Service began sniffing around and found the missing potties hidden behind a store at nearby Panama City Beach before reporting the matter to police.

Cedar Grove police on Sunday arrested Timothy Dale Hardenbrook, 33, of neighboring Springfield and charged him with grand theft of cash, checks and the toilets.

He was released on bond Tuesday.

Hardenbrook, who drove a truck for Hall Septic Tank Service, is accused of asking customers to pay for the toilets in cash or with checks made out to him and then keeping part of the money.
