After an absence I am returning to using my Minolta. I had given my spare camera with the 28-70 and 50/1.7 to my niece. I have just bought a replacement 50/1.7 as many of my favorite images were taken with it. The zoom took lovely pictures but was getting mechanicaly very loose. I also have a Sigma 24/2.8 that is great. If you still Minolta fit manual focus lenses, what are your favorites?

I'm fond of a 50 F1.7 as well. I also have a pair of 28 F2.8s..one with a red filter on an old all mechanical body (for IR) and another in my general purpose bag. I also have an internal focusing 70-210 F4 that's quite handy. I'm not all that fond of the results I get from a 400mmF5.6 by vivitar that I picked up...lots of color fringing...chromatic aberation I think it's called. -Joe

Personally I'm a big fan of the MC Rokkor-X 58mm f/1.2 and the Rokkor Shift CA 35mm f/2.8 lenses. Both are outstanding optically and are great specialized lenses (one low light, one perspective correction) as well as being very useful for general purposes.
