Well after all the talk, debate , moaning etc....about the use of auto-fire on T+F and Hypersports, finally something has ( eventually ) been done about it. Hat`s off to Ben Jos.

With all the talk these past months about the above , and the 'super-leeching ' on GnG , I was beginning to think that nothing would be done about either scenario. But now it has. It seems that a lot more 'senior' MARP`ers now have the ability and permission to delete these type of scores/methods. I suppose it was asking too much of Zxaxy to police these games by himself. Now he`s got some helpers , including 'Master Programmer' Ben Jos.

Good news eh ? Tommi? Now I`ll have a go at your 92,610 on 'hyprolym' !

p.s now that there seems to be a bit of a ' Police Force ', are there any other recordings using dodgy or unfair methods that need looking at , just to make the playing-field even more fairer ? There`s probably millions ! I`d suggest banning 'parachute scabbing ' on Time Pilot , and the 'infinite warp' trick on NZ Story , and deleting the scores that used these ( including my own ). Any of you MARP`ers think of any more like the above?

I know this sounds easy from my point of view, but I`m sure doing all this takes up a hell of a lot of time. So I`ll thank Ben Jos again for taking time-off to do what he did ( and to anyone else who helped ).

Submit your possibly new banned techniques to Q.T. (qan@home.com) I think that's the right email. And when there are enough new ones, there will be a vote to declare which techinques will be accepted by marp or will be banned. I think there might already be a Time Pilot banned technique but perhaps not...

As for Time Pilot, yes, parachute hunting has been banned for a while already...

Are there any other games besides T&F, Hyper Sports, and '88 Games that have RLH?

Which reminds me... I think a decision also needs to be made on whether or not using combination buttons in NeoGeo games is allowed. Detecting it is very easy, since all combination moves are represented by separate bits in the .inp file.

Since the only way to get RLH and combination buttons to work is through using the "-cheat" command, I think that already implies that it is considered cheating. Anyway, I'm not familiar at all with the NeoGeo fighters, so that's about all I can say about it.

Also, in my opinion, the point leeching on Kangaroo should be banned.

So 'parachute scabbing' has been banned ? But was it still used in any of those Time Pilot recordings ? A bit like the GnG scenario...i.e banned technique, but still used. Know what I mean ? I`d have a look at these INP`s myself to check , but they won`t playback for me. Maybe someone else can have a quick look, and report their findings?
