Can 380EX use NiMH batteries? The user manual never says anything about NiMH batteries. I wonder if this type of batteries can be used on 380EX. Has anyone got any experience with it?

Yes.

I've been using NiMH in a 380EX, 540EZ and BP-50 (and pretty much anything else that takes AA cells) for over a year. Remember that NiMH batteries are very similar to NiCads. They're a nominal 1.2v battery and as far as I know can replace NiCads in anything without a problem.

The batteries that CAN cause problems with SOME equipment are the "AA" sized lithium cells.
