i respond:
i'd never considered that Raptor may have named himself after a dinosaur (velociraptor)... i'd always assumed a bird of prey. now i wonder.

What's in a name? A rose by any other...

Actually, I selected the name immediately after I had seen "Jurassic Park." Velociraptor was too long. However, I admit that the bird of prey is more often associated. I had almost forgotten the original source.
