Gauntlet 2 in T3 - can't set the health to 700

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

I tried setting the health to 700 per coin (from the default of 750), but the settings won't save when I go back to the game. (This is the only change to the settings for T3). What I was going to do (until someone can help) was start the game, wait 50 seconds and then play. I know the one door opens during the lag time, but I'll just walk through to the first exit. Anyone know how to save the setting or what we will do?

I'm having the same problem. Gameboy9 said he would elaborate on a possible solution later. See this posting:

also - the no-secret-code setting, but I don't know if my adventures would take me there...

What's the importance ? Is it really a problem if we all begin with 750 instead of 700 ? this difference of 50 is really a problem ?

I dunno if this was a fluke but i was able to save the settins at 650 and 700 by hitting the save key (Warrior Magic button ("ALT" key)) after changing the settings, hit escape, ran mame gaunt2, then turned off service mode and the credit gave me the corresponding health, i dunno if this mode setting is going to be recorded in the inp though for verification of settings automatically.
