I can't find Elian on the major news media anymore. Can anyone tell me what happened? Did a plane crash or something? Elian is very important....they told me so. So where is he? And what happened to his grammas?

Elian is out getting some more jewlery, then going to a designer store for some more designer clothes, then off to Toys-R-Us with a $5,000 gift certificate. The kid is busy.

Well, the grammas are trying to help get AlGore elected (after all, who cares about the Cubans - and all of the 10 million other types of minorities - more than AlGore?) If they succeed, they get to know that they were good political footballs, just like their grandson.

Ok..we need to form an 'Elian' support group. I can't imagine his chagrin over that ill-timed plane crash that took him out of the spotlight. His grammas and Fiddle must be pissed also. Ok, support groups for them also.

I also saw on the local news that the relatives here in Miami are putting up a privacy fence so that elian will have a place to play without cameras and news crews hounding him.

Has everyone forgotten that this is a SIX YEAR OLD KID??? He and his family are far bigger victims than any of us are. We can always change the channel or turn the damned TeeVee off. No matter where they wind up, and I don't care where that is, they will have to live with this notoriety for the rest of their lives.

This whole situation is "Bonfire of the Vanities", Caribbean style.
