Surcharge Being Added To Canadian Flights

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just heard on local (Edmonton) radio that all Canadian Airlines flights will now include a $27 surcharge to any U.S. destination due to rising fuel costs. Why they specified only U.S. destinations and not all foreign ones, I'm not sure.

I'll give you credit for one thing, anyway. At least you are a *consistent* idiot. If you ever put together an original thought, please notify the group so that we can watch hell freeze over at the same time.

Pro...Old man you grow tiring. I suppose it would do little good to draw you a dotted lined picture of what the connections are between fuel surcharges, shortages of crude. Lack of adiquate refining facualities.

But since you cannot locate your with @$$ with both hands; nor pour pzzzz out of a boot with the directions on the heel. I know full well that you could not find the place I tell you to go either.

Poor little lost lamb!

Gee, do you think it just *might* have something to do with the refinery, etc failures and the high price of oil?

More than anything else here, IMO, the oil situation is the most serious and should be watched. Any "symptoms" of that problem, therefore, are relevant. But you knew that, didn't you. As I said the other day, you are the consumate troll. You spend all your time in a group where you *disagree* with the people and do *not* share their concerns. Your main purpose is to tell others how stupid they are - I pity you, I really do. You must be a very sad little man.

Y2kPro,

Gee, I read Steve's post four times. I can't find where he mentioned anything to do with y2k regarding the Canadian surcharge on flights. Did he post something that was deleted? Was mention of y2k encoded in some secret way? Well, whatever I missed it. The gentleman is merely passing on news that will never make it for public information unless of course you're flying from Canada to the States.

Please don't be so quick to hop on everything. It serves no purpose.

Thanks for the information, Steve.

Fares are "to soar" in Australia, too. Higher fuel costs is given as one of the reasons.
