HOSPITALS: Central Florida hospitals reported no Y2K glitches after midnight. The area's largest hospital group, Orlando Regional Healthcare System, had Y2K teams on alert at each of its eight hospitals in Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties. "Everything is fine, and nobody missed a beat," spokesman Joe Brown said. At Florida Hospital, the region's second-largest chain, doctors were being paged to make sure their beepers were working, and most had checked in by 1 a.m., a spokesman said. Only one, temporary problem was reported from the other hospitals in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Volusia and Brevard counties: For about an hour after midnight, computers at Winter Park Memorial in Orange County couldn't access the statewide system for confirming patients' Medicaid eligibility.
