The rest of the story!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I never said that TB2000 was perfect and lord knows I am not. The rest of the last post is here:

The interest is that the sense of community has been developed on TB2000 but not on the other sites. If this doesn't work, I will give up.

Best wishes,

What is the SUBJECT of the thread you are looking for?

I can find it and post a proper link,
or you should maybe try Deja.com instead.

Well, so far as comunity goes, back in early 98 or REAL late 97, there were a feew regulars, gayla, Donna (of the sheets, up on hte hill), Chris, Trish, Unk Deedah, etc sort of formed cyber relationships. We shared prep ideas, we shared evaluations of obscure info, more prep ideas, wins (in terms of cheap preps, etc.), losses in terms of family and friends, etc.

Later, some of the newer folks carped about things like the huricane threads, and the threads where one or another of us lost family or were hospitalized and the carpers were roundly criticized because TB2K had become a cyber back fence, with a specific concern in re 2000, but with the usual neighborhood range of concerns.

WHoo, and don't I sound pompous toady?!?!?!?! Someone hand me down my walkin cane I gotta go.

You ancient chronicler
