I'm currently building an HO scale layout based around the southwest florida (Sarasota, Ft.Myers)area and seek information on SCL freight operations 1973-1983. I'm specifically interested in the Lakeland-Naples and Tampa-Venice routes. I'm interested in train symbols, schedules, etc. I'm also looking for info on the major customers or types of freight hauled. Any info would be appreciated.

My 1973 SCL Tampa Division timetable list's this -

Southbound 149 (Lakeland-Ft. Myers) departing Lakeland at 12:01 A.M. and arriving at Ft. Myers at 6:00 A.M.

Northbound 150 (Ft. Myers-Lakeland) departing Ft. Myers at 5:20 P.M. and arriving at Bartow at 8:50 P.M. 150 continues on to Lake Alfred on the Bartow Subdivision. Then on the Lakeland Subdivision to Lakeland.

Southbound 749 (Ft. Myers-Naples) departing Ft. Myers at 9:50 A.M. and arriving at Naples at 11:30 A.M.

Northbound 750 (Naples-Ft.Myers) departing Naples at 11:59 A.M. and arriving at Ft. Myers at 1:30 P.M.
