more than internet addiction

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Visiting this forum for the last few months has helpled to keep me informed, stimulated and amused. If Y2K is indeed over, then evolution of the forum into one of diverse and interesting discourse is valid and welcome.

Yes, but then you will have some guy who id focussed on Y2K, complain and tell you that you are "Off Topic"!!!

AAHHH! what is it with all these "off topic" posts? Why don't they say "off topic" etc. etc. What does this have to do with y2k etc. etc.

TLP,

Frank

Ok Fellas, get over it. Someone is always going to complain about something. It's a given that Y2K isn't the main thrust of this site any longer, but there is still a tie-in, and the news coming through here will never been seen at 6 o'clock, CNN, with Bernie Shaw telling you that another oil pipe line blew. And another, and another. Or any of the other information that comes through from the "grass roots."

I like the OT's and anything else that anyone posts here, but then I'm just a simple tool.

It has been plain for several weeks that this forum is evolving. It has become very wide in its focus and now copes comfortably with any number of different issues.

I still maintain this is one of the best forums/newsgroups available.

I agree with Irving. It is a great place to give and get info from a great variety of sources.
