I just purchased an Olympus digital camera that has an accessory option of a floppy disk adapter. I am looking into the brand named adapters but notice that the generics are half the price. Anyone know if the generics are OK to use?

Smartmedia technology is standardized so, a generic brand will work fine.

Floppy disk adapters are very slow. To really cook, you should look at the reader/adapters that attach to either your USB or parallel port. My USB adapter transfers as fast as a hard drive.
