I have a research project due very soon on the similar writing styles, perspectives, ideas, and themes of Poe and Nathaniel Hawthorne... can anyone help me out?

To be broad in the broadest sense, both wroted their works on the idea of Romanticism but were almost anti-transcendentalistic in their views . Hawthorne did it by showing the presence of evil in the world, and that a medium was the best needed, while Poe focused entirely on how (especially in the Usher story) a thought could transcend to evil and the possibilities of the transcended evil to become evil things like terror or death.
