On my list is NEW SOFTWARE. Since the power has stayed up, so far, and since the weather is terrible in Northern Ohio, I have time to stay inside and learn some new programs.

Nothing, other than a trek out on the new tires for some fast food yesterday just for the hell of it. Need not a thing, hehe.

Not much shopping here. Close to 80 degrees, sun shinning, birds singing. Worry? Well, there could be an 8-pointer on the Richter Scale any moment. Otherwise all is fine in So. Calif., desert.

However, when it hits 120 degrees in a few months, I may be singing out of the other side of my mouth.

Excuse me for being off topic, but where did you get a name like Hokie? being a former hokie myself (Va Tech) was just curious. Lock'n'Load

A new snow shovel and more bird and squirrel food. The birds and other creatures are really hurting in this frigid weather and I've gone through more than I calculated we'd need. The retired people around here love to feed the birds but can't get out to fill their feeders when the weather is this bad.

OG - I agree with you. I generally feed the birds all winter. This year, the local farm store had a "pre-season" sale wherein I ordered 10 fifty pound bags of black oil sunflower seeds. We have them stored in 50 gal steel barrels under the shed. Today, with the snow and ice, I probably went through 25 lbs of seeds; had to "reload" 4 times!! Many, many cardinals, 3 types of wood- peckers, juncos, 2 types of finches, many types of sparrows, some white breasted nuthatches, chickadees, tufted titmouse....and once in awhile, some quail will sneak up for a bite. Just quite enjoyable. (course, honey and I are easily entertained!)
