Mr. Kosmicki, Here are my two questions from "Chronicle of a Death Foretold"

1. Why was an autopsy performed when the whole community had seen the crime take place and everyone knew how Santiago had died?

2. Why didn't Angela take the advice of the older ladies to stain her bed sheets on her wedding night in an effort to hide the previous loss of her virginity?

The reason that Angela didn't take the advise of the oldeer ladies and stain her bed sheets on her wedding night is because she was affrid of the groom and what he is capable of. He was a night that came in on a white horse, but no one in the town completley trusted him. As one will recall Angela was afraid to stand up to him, and he found out by accident she was not a virgin.

I think that Angela did not take advise form her friends and stain the sheets is because she has some pride in herself and could not face lying to the groom.
