I have Video Cd's imported from asia [singapore & Japan]

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I'm wondering you can currently buy Video CD only players, I usually play mine on my PC but then I don't get the full package, such as the selecting menu. And do all DVD players play Video CD's?

Using Xing MPEGPlayer of Cyberlink PowerVCD will allow you to use the selection menu.

Regarding VCD capability in a DVD player. Look for either Video CD, VCD, or Compact Disc Digital Video on the front of the unit. This will tell you whether or not the unit can play VCDs. All DVD/VCD combi players display the full pacage. But due to architecture, many DVD players in the U.S. are NTSC only meaning PAL VCDs lose a piece of bottom of the picture(or as the case in mine the top). You may want to get a NTSC/PAL switching VCD player. Check www.asiacd.com or www.sasavcd.com for them.

I "clicked-on" to you, as you mention that you have cd's from Japan. I don't have an answer; I have a question. What is the availability of the Japanese import CD: Pink Floyd, Dark Side Of The Moon.?
