i'm not sure what i think about Mr. Poes death . i've heard sooo moany things , but i think maybe it was from a combination of depression after his wifes death and maybe drugs/alkohal . i've also heard he was murdered , had rabies , killed himself , and a million more things. i wonder if anyone really knows

Edgar Allen Poe died from what they thought was alchoholism because they found him out side a bar on the ground. it was also called congestion of the head. scientists now say it could have been rabies becaue the symptoms he had were the smptoms you get with rabies, so he might have been bitten by his cat.

The rabies theory is just that, another theory. NOBODY knows exactly how Poe died. All they know is that he was hallucinating, dilirious and wearing someone eles's soiled clothes just before he died.

Based of fact if it was to be based on fact then Poe died from rabies, the ranting and seeing things along with violence(he was violent with the doctors), and trusting any one. (he talked to almost anyone that walked by) are part of haveing rabies. it is said he may have been bitten by one of his cats considering he loved cats.

Not a fact some people say he died of drinking to much, when it records it says poe showed no sighn of drinking in the past 5 days since he was found, and if he had drank himself to death, he wouldn't have lived for 3 days.

Not based on fact some people say Poe died from Opium, when if he did indeed die of Opium over dose he would have simply fallen asleep and not woken up, Opium is a early form of heroin and also wouldn't make him violent as he was toward the doctors that tryed to help him
