Refineries on the west coast

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Hello this is David Whitelaw. I was wondering if anyone knows for sure how many refineries are down on the west coast? I have heard that it is 2 but I would like to confirm this. Thankyou

Best "official" list is on Bloomberg News and longest list is mine:

Petroleum Industry Problems

I'm aware that my list has some deficiencies but we're working to correct them. You can click any of my links (right column) to see the original article or report for each refinery reported down.

Marcia,

Thank you for sharing all your research and digging. I have pointed a few people to your site to take a look.
We can't just sit around and wait for "The Government" or "Somebody" to look into the problem. The "Press" also doesn't dig for the story like they used to, an active private citizen like yourself can acomplish a great deal when you jump in and "make it happen".

Thankyou Marcia. Your link answered all my questions except why they are all down.

There is a refinery at Anacortes, WA. I don't know its status.

Marianne:

The last time I looked the Equilon refineries at March Point were working fine. You might try their web site. Of course they have had regular problems over the last few years.

Best wishes,,,,
