Chechnya Russia's vietnam

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Russia will find out that Chechnya is very much their vietnam war. The soldiers will soon learn the truth and be pissed off for being suckered into risking their lives for nothing. They are making bankers rich from their blood. Bankers thrieve on war, any war. The arms business is their bread and butter, they suck. Putim is their stooge and he is playing all those soldiers for fools. Chechens arent the threat to you the cold bankers are.

Original question Subject: Chechnya Russia's vietnam

Russia will find out that Chechnya is very much their vietnam war.

( Really? ge...I thought Afganistan was their Vietnam and now I find out that you compare their losing several thousand soldiers in Chechnya to our losing 58 THOUSAND in Viet Nam.)

The soldiers will soon learn the truth and be pissed off for being suckered into risking their lives for nothing. They are making bankers rich from their blood.

( Really? Gee.... give me ONE example of how a banker makes money from Russian soldiers attacking Chechnya.)

Bankers thrieve on war, any war. The arms business is their bread and butter, they suck. Putim is their stooge and he is playing all those soldiers for fools. Chechens arent the threat to you the cold bankers are.

(Get a grip. There are plenty of reasons to be opposed to what the Russians are doing in Chechnya. Your rhetoric is meaningless.0

The year is 1942, and the German Army, now properly equipped for a titanic assault is given the objective to drive through the Caucasuses to capture the great Oil Fields in and around Baku on the Black Sea. Stalingrad is to be a sideshow, an important sideshow, but none the less a sideshow.

History records that this Herculean effort by the Nazi armies actually captured the Maykop Oil Fields, but was defeated...

In Front of Grozny!

Just remember...ALLAH U AKBAR!!!

Actually, I'm beginning to believe this is a sham ar. The Russians are supplying the Chenchens with weapons, according to a report in the past Saturday's National Post. I think this has everything to do with oil and to bring Georgia back in the Russian sphere of influence. IMHO, little else matters.

www.stratfor.com -- isn't just the Georgians feeing the pressure.

It has never stoped to amaze me how people, who have no idea about something try to analyze it. People, give it a rest. Let Russians deal with Muslim terrorists and don't get involved; although, who knows, may be our Commander in Chief will decide to do to Russia the same thing he did to Serbia. All he needs to motivate him is another impeachment.

Brooklyn:

Speaking of people who don't know what they're talking about...

All these thousands of Chechen "terrorists" makes about as much sense as all us Canadians supporting "terrorists" because they came through our swiss-cheese-solid border to the CONUS.

If you have a couple of grey cells to spare, consider what Putin has said to the world--and to the Caspian states--regarding his intent to define friends and enemies...now do you wish your CIC to get aggressive with a country threatening nuclear weapons release at lower-but-not-clearly-defined thresholds?

Sure. It could be a grand pose. He could be a paper tiger. Do you wish to find out the hard way?

Time for YOU to get a grip. Learn more before pontificating.

Kurt,

When I say that I know what I am talking about it means that I lived in the country called USSR for 22 years. I know much more about history of Caucasus (or Serbia for that matter) than you ever will. I knew how Chechen mafia operated in Russia. I addition to that I am a Jew. So why don't you just shut the fuck up.

I want to see your reaction should muslim terrorists start blowing your houses, kill your people. It is easy for you, prick, to sit in Canada and bullshit about the danger of Russians. They do not give a fuck about you, prick, they are hungry and cold and have no desire to fight USA or Canada. But when somebody starts attacking your citizens or blow up buildings full of people in the capital of your country you would want your government to respond with everything you have.

Great Brooklyn!

I don't mind if you know more than I or anyone else. Share with us your knowledge.

Post essays, analyses or opinions (if you wish) and enlighten the lot of us--that's what this BB is all about.

Your vehement attack suggests other motivation than disagreement with my analysis (imperfect, I know) which you did not even touch.

I think you're too busy attacking people to spend the time advising people...

Here is the deal, Kurt, I have neither time nor desire to share my knowledge with you -- I am not a historian or a journalist, just a computer programmer. Why not just do your own research? And I mean the real research, not reading The New York Times, or whatever version of "Pravda" you have in Canada. Also I would advise against using Clinton News Network as your source of reliable information. Here are a few points to look for -- organized crime in Russia, attacks in Dagestan, explosions in Moscow, history of muslim movement (Israel, Kosovo Albanians, Former Soviet Middle Asia republics). Should this be not enough I will give you even more points to look at.

P.S. I am not sorry for what I said previously -- I have no patience for people who present their "expert" opinion on the topics they have no idea about.
