how to fix "cannot get frame date from" on Panasonic encoder

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

ok for those of you who had this problem like me(a post a few days ago) and when it gets to roughly 99% of converting, and then you get the message "cannot get a frame data from source material encoding aborted". herer is how to fix it withoout adding extra "dead space" to your project so that gets cut instead. TO FIX THE PROBLEM SO IT ENCODES PERFECTLY: Load in your source material. You will notice right next to this it will show the frame number for the clip(ex" 80021) Now when you look at the OUTPUT FILE info right below that it will give you the choice of picking from what frame to frame to encode to(most of us would just leave this alone, EX 1 to 80021). So to fix it what you do is make the out put one frame less then your master and it encodes fine (ex: 80020) so it goes like this input frame 80021 output frames 1- 80020

it will now encode fine without cuting off the two seconds it noramlly does.
