Dr. de Garis has had an interesting controversial teaser for a number of monthsgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Human-Machine Assimilation : One Thread
He has been inviting interested persons to join a worldwide debate on the subject.
The topic is of concern, however it seems the real issue is the degree of parameters in creative thinking that the brains are allowed get to by programming instructions.
I imagine we will have a variety of opinions as to whether or not the brains will be allowed to see the results of the decided solutions to problems and how free ranging they should be.
The real issue has always seemed to me to be the set of rules and parameters we give in the program. -
We can limit the dangerous parameters.
