The overall feedback on the July 1999 draft of the IT Schedule indicated that a less complicated, higher level approach might be more valuable given the range of agencies required to implement it.

As a result of this feedback FIRM and NARA are attempting to bring together a small group of users from both IT shops and records management programs to hammer out a useable alternative approach for IT records. The plan is for a select group to gather for 1 day at NARA, College Park, MD on January 28th to construct a practical model schedule working draft for FIRM and NARA review.

We would sincerely appreciate your Agency's participation with a team of your IT person and records management program person. The meeting of the IT Schedule Working Group will be in lecture room D on Friday, January 28 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. . Please respond to me soonest so we may notify NARA of the attendees . NARA is looking forward to working with you on this important project.
