Firefighters battle large factory blaze

Source: AAP | Published: Monday January 24, 6:15 AM

Firefighters are battling a large blaze in a tool factory in Sydney's south-west.

More than 30 firefighters have been fighting the fire for almost five hours, after it broke out in the Wiley Park factory at about 1.30am (AEDT).

A Fire Brigade spokesman said firefighters had contained the blaze.

Three walls of the severely damaged factory were in a dangerous condition, with the rear wall expected to collapse, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, 30 residents were evacuated from a unit block at Cronulla, in Sydney's south, after fire broke out in a unit just after 4am (AEDT) today.

Firefighters initially had difficulty gaining access to the blazing unit because of heat and smoke.

No-one in the 16-unit block was injured.

what does this have to do with anything?
