formula for sodium thiosulfate as fixer

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

I'm looking for a "recipe" to make a good quality fixing solution using SODIUM THIOSULFATE as the base. I intend to use it primarily with "Oriental Seagull G" papers. All information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dave, you might look up Kodak's formula's for fixers, I only use two types, pure hypo (sodium thiosulfate) for pyro negs and Zone VI fixer for everything else. Pat

Here is the formula for TF-2. It is an alkaline fixer, which allows short wash times. Do not use a stop bath with this fixer. Use water.

Water 750ml Sodium thiosulfate 250g Sodium sulfite anhydrous 15g Sodium metaborate 10g Water to make 1 liter
