Gas Price Update - Northern Ohio

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

A couple days ago I posted that 86 octane was averaging about $1.349 in Northern Ohio. Friday morning on the way to work I filled up at $1.379 for 86 octane. On the way home I passed the same stations, the 86 octane went up a full dime today, now at $1.479.

Has anyone else seen a drastic move up in the pump price since Wednesday?

Then watch the local N Ohio news... not a peep of a story on the huge gas price jump, easily the most talked about topic at work yesterday. We're still hearing about the damn hole, we probably will never get an explanation for it.

Here in NW Indiana near the huge BP Amoco refinery gas prices hit $1.38 Friday. That was a 20 cent jump at several stations. Things are getting interesting.

Regular gas at Shell is up to $1.44 (rounded number) in Columbus. Several days ago, prices dropped from $1.34 (regular at BP) to $1.30 (same). Think they rose to the current level on Thursday, but I'm not sure.

Gas price went up 6 cents in Cedar Rapids Ia this week to 1.29.99. Don't you just hate that 99/100's of a cent they put on the end of gas prices.

Gas is $1.16 in Brigham City, Utah

Gas at the local Clark station was up to $1.43/gallon, but has dropped back down to $1.33/gallon (still way higher than the norm). This Clark station always has the lowest gas prices, usually at least $.06-$.10 cents lower than the local BP station...
