Just filled up by big 'ol Dodge conversion van. Greater Hartford area (CT). Reg. $1.49, Ultra $1.59, Super $1.65. (Self-Serve)

Don't know how indicative this really is as CT has some hefty taxes on gas that I don't think many other states have.

The average price is $1.30, up .75 cents (that's three quarters of a cent) this month.

Diesel is much higher though (don't have the figures) and the so called Rack dealers have issued a statement (today) warning that there may be diesel outages at the retail pump level within two weeks.

I'd say they can see down the line that we are running out of diesel. Other countries are running out of diesel too. There was one African country, forget which one, that has announced a diesel crisis already.

The cancer is spreading. I guess we'll know soon what the prognosis looks like. Doc, tell me it ain't terminal.
