Learning Task #3 - Who are the Experts? Jim Nesseth, M.ED, Extension Co-Hort Learning Task #3, October 21, 1999

Who are the Experts?

As I continue to become more devoted to my M.Ed degree, I realize I will need to draw on the hard science discipline in specialization where black and white research in taking place and also the educational or outreach discipline.

The technology or hard science area is important too because I feel I need to have the skills and resources to field the questions and make the proper recommendations to my clientele. The outcome side is just as important. If I can't communicate and develop a learning environment, I won't be able to this technology and research to help anyone.

I will list some of the experts I will draw on:

X Dr. Dale R. Hicks, Professor of Agronomy and Plant Genetics, University of Minnesota Extension Service X Dr. Ward Stienstra, Professor of Pathology, University of Minnesota Extension Service X Dr. Michael Schmitt, Professor of Soil Science, University of Minnesota Extension Service X Dr. George Rehm, Professor of Soil Science, University of Minnesota Extension Service X Bruce Potter, Integrated Pest Management, Southwest Research & Outreach Center, University of Minnesota Extension Service X Sue Damme, Staff Development Leader, University of Minnesota Extension Service
