I suppose the Moon dissapearing has Y2K ramifications!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Let us hear it.

According to you twits nothing strange or irregular ever happened before the rollover. Right!

So why not blame the lunar eclipse tonite on the pesky Y2K rollover.

You've blamed everything else from plugged toilets in El Paso to an oil spill in Boise on Y2K!

It is all bullsh**!

Face facts morons! I AM a harbinger of truth in your drury lives.

You ask why I frequent this forum; Lets just say, I am sort of an amateur sociologist. Call it intellectual curiosity if you must.

I enjoy seeing the pathetic, fringe element of humanity squeel and squirm when challenged by logic and reason. All you insipid misfits can do in response is hurl moronic insults and sophomoric humor at the face of truth. It is sad.

The truth be told:

Most people didn't prepare for the 'Y2K problem' because we KNEW it was not a problem.

Yes, we KNEW!

We actually listened to KNOWLEDGABLE people instead of the outrageous, lunatic, sociopaths with which you are so retardedly fond. (Who have all since abandoned you, I might add.)

Do you honestly think we care not about our children! Do you honestly think we care not about our country! We care enough about our children to teach them to believe in concrete ideas instead of the ideas of half-baked, book selling charlatans who have no stake in the greater good of America. Fear mongers have entered and departed our culture more times than any of us can remember. I for one, will not contribute to the stupidity of your so-called preparedness, panic stricken mindsets. I feel for your children.

This is what we so-called "pollies" didn't do:

We didn't panic. We didn't listen to all the crackpots (like those who operate this forum). We held our ground.

If everyone had panicked and pulled their money out of the system, then bad things would of happened. But thank God, cooler heads prevailed.

So keep on telling yourselves that you were right about this non-controversy. Keep on telling yourselves you were right about squandering your childrens college money on spam and beans in order to save them from this dreaded 'Y2K computer bug'. In two years you will look even more ridiculous than John Travolta did in "Saturday Night Fever".

I am not a spammer.....just a learner.

I learn about the profound lack of education, understanding, and intuition that you people display. You are the perfect case study. This is why I come in here; to be amused!

Please, keep on blathering, I am building a lifetime worth of case studies into the possible ineptitudes of the human mind, just on this forum alone!

Thank you!

Shouldn't you be getting back to prison before you do something terrible, Willie?

Sociologists usually like to stay objective and not get personally involved with their work. If you enjoy repeatedly coming back to view what you perceive to be 'the pathetic, fringe element of humanity,' then you might just have some issues of your own to work out.

And if you aren't here for a useful reason like following current events, then you've got WAY too much time on your hands.

The poster is not posting from a Hotmail account.

What is that supposed to mean? How would you "post from a Hotmail account" anyway?

-- Richard Dymond (rjdymond@hotmail.com), January 21, 2000.

I am not a spammer.....just a learner.

With that statement he indicts himself as a slow learner. Anyone who would devote so much effort to achieve such puny results must be slow.

it didn't disappear - duh. it was beautiful though. couldn't really see to much red but could understand why they call it that. so many wonderful astronomical events this year.

-- tt (cuddluppy@aol.com), January 21, 2000.

Trimmer, that was an excellent posting, very wise observations. The majority of doomers just can't seem to accept the facts of what has happened, ie nothing.

Some ( a very few) of these people have admitted how wrong and gullible they were, and i applaud them for that, at least they will learn something from this.

It means the information concerning contacts at Hotmail is useless because the poster who started this thread is not a Hotmail customer. The sysop says the trace revealed the poster as a ccp.com customer.

Willie et al, The attire of choice for every govt. entity, emergency management official, utility worker, CEO, hospital official and pretty much every one else at the helm on NY'sE Eve was depends undergarments. Glad to hear that YOU knew something all of them didn't.

That is so random.

I have this mental image of Mr. Horton typing up his post and thinking to himself, "Let's see, in two years they will look even more rediculous. But more rediculous than what? -pause-

I know..."

I am still laughing.

Careful with this kinda crap. If your goal is squelch free discussion on this forum, this is quickest way to do it. While the original post was leaning towards simple trolling, it did contain logical arguments and content. You can choose to ignore posts. Your post seems to be inciting intential spamming of the poster, which is more dispicable than a troll post on an open forum. I take you are not the real SysOp here.
