Hi Amanda, Sometimes the driver software for scanners does get installed, but stays invisible until it's called by another application.

I assume that some sort of image editing software was installed that came with the scanner. If you open this application, in the toolbar there will be a heading called "Import", "Aquire", or "Scan", or some such. Open this dialogue box and there should be a heading like "Select TWAIN device". Clicking on this heading should open a menu box. If this isn't blank, then your scanner should be listed. If it is listed, highlight it by clicking on the menu, and then click "OK" to close the menu. Now when you go back to the "Aquire" box, click on "TWAIN" (It may say TWAIN16 or TWAIN32 or simply SCAN). The scanner driver proper should now open and (hopefully) you can start scanning.

If the TWAIN device menu box was blank, then a driver hasn't been installed for the scanner, and you need to look on the CD ROM for another piece of installation software for the drivers, or get in touch with Agfa.

Sorry if this has been a bit patronising; you never know the skill level of the person you're talking to with these Q&A forums. Better to assume they know nothing than to talk over their head.

Good Luck,

Hi. Are you daisy chaining your printer and your scanner? Most scanners need to be attached to the computer and then the printer attached to the printer port on the back of the scanner. In other words, put the scanner first. Hope this helped.
