Due date for contracts is January 26, 2000 (THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE DEADLINE) **Some have not turned in a contract proposal for fall semester. If you have not done so, it will be assumed that you want to earn a "C" rather than an "A" or "B".

Registrations must be in no later than 1/21/00-- Friday. This is an absolute deadline. Call 726-8808.

Update: As of 1/19/00, only 20 members were registered for Spring.

Vaccination form: Write in date, sign, submit. Mary Jean will provide additional copies if needed in the box. Mary Jean and Terry Anderson will be coming to a future class to address some questions regarding graduation requirements and deadlines. Refer to your letter sent from the Dean's office on December 21st listing all the mandatory deadlines (these are not flexible) and email your questions to mmenzel@d.umn.edu .

All Cohort 3 students who wish to participate in Commencement Ceremonies on May 11th must sign the form sent by the M.Ed. Director agreeing to complete all coursework and the research project by August 31, 2000, at the very latest. For Spring Semester the Research Presentation is considered one of the "A" or "B" contracts, so you only have to submit one other contract proposal for an "A." This contract will be due May 3, so mark your calendars.

A decision was reached on the issue of absences: One absence per semester is granted without having to write a paper for make-up. Those who miss more follow the standard make-up procedure.

Please check the Cohort box each week for envelopes or special messages/events addressed to you. Thanks!

Next Governance Team Meeting will be on Feb. 3, 2000, 4 p.m. Bixby's. Members at large are welcome to attend! Respectfully submitted, Barbara Olson M.Ed. Cohort 3 Member
