I want to capture a very small amount of video off a VCR tape into my USB only iMac, and run the captured video back out to a blank VCR tape. I don't have FireWire on my 266 iMac (192 mbs of physical RAM). I don't need to add any special effects to the captured tideo clips. All I want in the end is five or six minutes of video on a VCR tape which I can take to a classroom and show on a television hooked to a VCR player.

Since I am a student I would like to spend less than $150 to do the job.

Anyone have any suggestions for hardware and software?
