We are finished with week two of the great and famous roll-over. Many things happening but not being reported. So how about checking in with the forum and giving a positional up-date. I am not a flamer, Polly or Doomer, just want a professional response. I've seen some big things swept under the proverbial carpet in my place of workship and just need to get a pulse on what you see from the trenches.

Have you heard about the power company in Delaware with a million electric and gas customers that sent out about 250,000 screwed up bills over the last couple of weeks? According to the source it will take about five months to straighten it out. We got a couple of folks down here in SC that got screwed up utility bills as well. FWIW

The Rendon Group (aka Rendonites, aka Rendonistas) were those nice folks paid by .gov to go around to comunities and tell everyone that everything is a-ok (aka hunky-dory, aka don't-you-worry-your-pretty-little- head-'bout-no-Y2k, aka don't panic.)

Seems their contract has not yet expired.

Well, I had asked earlier myself what a "Rendonite" was since I was accused of being one.

Apparently, it refers to someone named Rendon and is a term of derision applied to anyone who makes a detailed, logical argument backed up with facts that refutes a Doomer argument.

Supposedly, the users mean it to refer to someone who is a paid government shill sent out to lie on internet bulletin boards.

What it really is is the last thing you can say when you have no arguments left :-)

But Like I said, I STILL haven't gotten my checks from the government for doing it yet :-) I hear the payroll computer for secret government propaganda agents had a Y2K problem.

Read the archives here, you'll find anyone who made any sense at all called a Rendon-something.....

John K. is what the guys over on csy2k are now calling PCL's, or Polly Come Lately's. PCL's stand in sharp contrast to guys like Flint, Hoff, Decker, and a few others, who had the cajones to go "on record" on this forum arguing the "Polly" view well before rollover. PCL's, like John K., are insecure nobodies who never contributed anything to the debate, but have now materialized to declare victory and kick around some "Doomers". Even the Uber Pollies at csy2k find PCL's repugnant.
