memorable hand of the evening: i was stuck a rather large sum of money. cut a very rich slug to the top. came off the top of the shoe with two hands of $200. got T8 & TT, dealer got a five. split. split. split. i now have 20, 20, 20, 21 & 18. dealer dutifully busts. a cool grand on that hand.

poker:
yet another short-handed game. 7Cedars is fast losing thier poker clientele. 20 minutes. +48. this was 4-8 holdem. first hand after sitting down at the table: two red kings. gotta love it.

my sources in the dealer break room inform me that i am fast becoming the third most talked about topic in the break room (the first two being: who is sleeping with who, and who's tipping). general consensus is that i'm some sort of professional gambler. the casino manager apparently has started that rumour. i figure i've got six months. casino manager is still very friendly with me and sits down with me at dinner (that he buys for me). we'll see.

"Working" the Casino Mgr (Rick)

If the Casino Mgr. thinks you are some sort of "professional gambler" reinforce that you do make some $$ playing poker. He sits and has dinner with you? Great! Ask about his career path. Tell him that you considered working for a casino at one time. Tell him that you know some people that are looking to get a license to open up a casino and you may end up working for them. Maybe he might want to meet these folks "if and when things start to happen" You get the picture. Work it !

Longevity (R14)

I think the most important thing you can do is to stash chips. It is incredible how long a casino will let you play if they think you are losing. Since you are incorporating tracking into your play, you will probably look like a bad counter or a normal player anyway, so the only thing that matters to the casino exec.'s is their bottom line. Be creative about it -- but also be smart. If they know you're stashing chips it could cause more suspicion.

If you beat them pretty badly in one session, stay away for a little while.

Good luck!
