"14 DAYS OF PREPS: Get started on your Y2K preparations" by Stan Faryna I don't think this man gets enough credit and appreciation as he deserves. During the good old days of preparing for the unknown event, Stan was there making sure people were looked out for in a more convincing and calm manner. He has left an impression and I would like to find another opportunity to thank him for what he did for people.

Thanks Stan.

Ditto that.

Thank you Stan for your tireless efforts in trying to help others with an "unknowable" event, and beyond aftereffects, that were looming in the miasma of uncertainty, at the time. "Be Prepared" is the appropriate scout motto... then and now... and into the future.

Today, I'm reorganizing my preps to make them more "earthquake" handy.

;-D

My very earnest compliments to Stan for the work he has done. Always focused on helping people prepare, and ever-gracious in manner.

Thanks for the thread, Feller. I am glad for the opportunity to express the respect I have for him.

And thanks to Stan for helping me save money on the water purifier my son requested for Christmas.

Stan:

I think you're one of the good guys. Hope you are feeling better. When are you and Meg going to come over and fill me in on what you've been up to?

Cheering Stan ~ ~ hope you're feeling better too, shoo this flu!

Thanks again to you and Meg for effortlessly helping me complete my preps. The last order was three days late but that was the fault of the supplier using a different shipping method. Doesn't really matter; I didn't need it immediately anyway.

Stan -- thanks for taking our order, lying to us repeatedly about when you were going to ship it, and then, finally, leaving us twisting in the wind.

And thanks too for having us order a dozen grain mills that you also lied to us about being able to pay for, again leaving us twisting in the wind for upwards of a month, and then, when we finally had to sell them to cover *our* position, slandering us in public in a pathetic attempt to cover your shabby ass.

Thanks, Stan!

Do your preps in steady steps.

Because the future is still hazy...

Stan, You're a buddy.

-- Mara (MaraWayne@aol.com), January 15, 2000.

You da man, Stan :-)

Think of it this way. If inflation is the worst result and there are some shortages in certain sectors, you bought stuff at last year's prices and have stock on hand.

I know you were trying to do a public service, Stan. Chin up! The best laid plans of men and mice, as my mom used to say.

With that recent poll someone on the forum took about whether other respondents were worried about a drought in their area, and most were, I am thankful for my preps, and will continue to add to them, when there are sales. There might not be all that many sales, this summer! Prices could go thru the roof, if there is a general drought in the land. Pray that I'm wrong, but Lake Michigan is down several feet, and we had drought conditions, last year, with much less snow than usual, this year. I'm glad I got rain barrels!

I hate to see Stan portrayed as dishonest. Yet I cannot refute the above attack as I was not involved in the alluded to transactions.

I know Stan to be one who acts from a center of honesty & compassion. Indeed, if I were to rank each individual I've ever known as to their honesty/integrity/compassion Stan Faryna's name would be listed prominently in the TOP 10.

Peace to All,
